Despite commonly held societal beliefs, it is entirely possible for many people to successfully taper off and stay off psychiatric drugs—even after long-term use. While there is limited research to support this claim, and in fact many people have witnessed or experienced firsthand unsuccessful and even debilitating attempts at coming off psychiatric drugs, a robust body of anecdotal evidence is rapidly growing among laypeople in the withdrawal community showing that with careful preparation and responsible, slow tapering, a very different and far more hopeful story often unfolds.

This talk will lay out the safest known taper rates, schedules, and methods being used with success in the layperson withdrawal community, along with important factors to consider in advance of starting a taper that increase the odds of a smooth taper.

Space is  limited and RSVP required by e-mailing us (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.).
We are requesting Social Work and LMHC Continuing Ed Credits
