Conference Updates

Earl By the Water
The Western Mass RLC continues to represent at
various conferences and events across the country!

In September, Earl Miller appeared as a keynote at the National Association for Rights Protection and Advocacy Conference in Portland, Maine. He spoke about housing, homelessness, peer support, and the many intersections of marginalized communities.

Also, although we mentioned the World Hearing Voices Congress took place in August, there are several new updates, including that our own Caroline Mazel-Carlton (formerly Caroline White) received an Intervoice award there for her work starting the very first Online Hearing Voices group in the world in collaboration with Jeannie Bass.

The keynotes (including the RLC’s Marty Hadge) from the Congress are also now available online

And, if you haven’t heard it yet, be sure to check out the RLC’s Lisa Forestell on Madness Radio talking about the Congress and hearing voices: (CLICK HERE!)

Meanwhile, conference season isn’t over quite yet. Sera Davidow will be offering a plenary talk at the International Society for Ethical Psychology and Psychiatry (ISEPP) in Denver, Colorado at the start of October. You can find out more by clicking here.

We recognize that we are very lucky to be able to take part in so many great events and opportunities to network and share our collective knowledge. We hope to bring back everything we’ve learned to the local community in the coming months!
