RLC Bridger
 
8 to 16 hours, primarily in the Holyoke/Springfield area. 
  • Offer advocacy, peer-to-peer support, group facilitation and connections to resources for individuals who are leaving hospitals (or other restrictive settings) and returning to the community. 
  • Personal experience with psychiatric diagnosis, trauma and other significant life challenges and access to a reliable vehicle that can be used for work required. 
  • Personal experience having been hospitalized on a psychiatric unit preferred.        
  • Bilingual/bicultural (Spanish/English), Intentional Peer Support and/or Certified Peer Specialist training, and peer-to-peer support experience a plus!

  • Bilingual/bicultural (Spanish/English), Intentional Peer Support, Hearing Voices, Alternatives to Suicide, and/or Certified Peer Specialist training, and peer-to-peer support experience a plus!

Mental Health Association—Peer Mentor
 
30 hours based in the Springfield area. 
  • Provide individual and small group support, skill building and advocacy to individuals receiving services, as well as supporting the organization to adhere to guiding principles of person-centered, trauma-informed, and strengths-based care.
  • Personal experience in navigating the mental health system is required.
  • Experience mentoring others through their own recovery journey is highly preferred.
  • Professional experience in the human services field preferred.

Responsible for daily meals and menu planning, as well as various other aspects of the Behavioral Health Network’s respite unit and support of people staying there.
