Beyond the Medical Model is a 67-minute film by the Western Mass RLC (in collaboration with Digital Eyes Film) examining the impact of a one-model system that has been written so inextricably into our law and language that it has become difficult for many to hear the evidence supporting a much broader take on what we so often call ‘mental illness.’
The film features many voices from our own community sharing parts of their stories, as well as those who share from a worldview perspective including:

Jacqui Dillon

Ruta Mazelis

Will Hall

Maria Tarajano Rodman

Gail Hornstein

Richard Shulman

Daniel Mackler

Robert Whitaker

Each of the two screenings will include a dialogue led by Robert Whitaker and others featured in the film.
 Robert Whitaker

We will also be holding a community screening on Friday, November 22nd

5:30pm to 7:30pm

@ the RPX, One Osgood Street, Greenfield

(behind the Recover Project and the RLC’s Greenfield Center)
